As a part of this link, a demand has also been made for 18 months of arrears of dearness allowance (DA Arrear) during Corona time.
What was the status of DA arrears during Corona?
In fact, during the Corona epidemic, the government stopped the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for 18 months from January 2020 to June 2021. It means that the DA of central employees was not increased for a cool 18 months. However, DA hike was introduced from July 2021 onwards. Under these circumstances, employees have been demanding DA arrears for a long time.
