Uttar PradeshNews:

State Bureau, Lucknow. To make the UP Board examinations cheating-free, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council has made strict and comprehensive arrangements this time too. By continuously doing new experiments for the last nine years, the Board has prepared a strong system towards effective control on copying.

This campaign, which started in 2017, is continuing this year also. High school and intermediate board exams will be held from February 18 to March 12, in which many new arrangements have been made regarding security and monitoring.

To monitor the examination, a state level control room has been set up in the Directorate of Secondary Education Camp Office, Lucknow. There will be direct monitoring of all the examination centers of the state from this control room. To prevent copying, the security of question papers and answer sheets has been strengthened at many levels.

Reserve set of question papers of all subjects has been arranged in all the districts. Centre-wise coding has been implemented in the question papers, so that any kind of error can be detected immediately. The answer sheets have been prepared in A-four portrait size. The logo of the Board of Secondary Education and UPMSP is printed on each page in micro size.

Like previous years, this time also answer sheets of four colors have been prepared and stitched answer sheets have been kept in sensitive districts. This time in the experimental examinations, there was a system of uploading marks online through portal and mobile app.

For the first time, jammers are being installed at 20 examination centers as a pilot project. To be strict on cheating, 18 districts have been kept in the sensitive category before the examination, where all the examination centers will be under special surveillance.

Examination at more than eight thousand centers

A total of 222 highly sensitive and 683 sensitive examination centers have been identified in the state. This year, 27,61,696 high school and 25,76,082 intermediate candidates will appear in the UP Board examination. A total of 53,37,778 candidates will appear for the exam.

Examinations will be conducted at 8,033 examination centers across the state. Strict instructions have also been issued at the government level to make the examination free from cheating.

Clear instructions have been given by Additional Chief Secretary Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma that question paper of wrong subject, date or shift should not be opened at the examination centers under any circumstances. Along with this, strict action will be taken against spreading or attempting to spread any kind of rumor on the internet media.

With the aim of reducing duplication to zero, all concerned officers have been instructed to perform their duties responsibly.
