Jagran correspondent, Meerut. UP Board examinations are starting from 18th February. The examination of Home Science subject of High School will be held on 21st February in the morning shift. Sonal Sharma, assistant teacher of Home Science subject of Government Inter College Nanu Meerut of the district, has given important suggestions to the candidates for good preparation for the examination and scoring good marks.

Teacher Sonal Sharma says that Home Science is a scoring subject. To score good marks in Home Science, candidates need both smart strategy and regular practice. He says that by following the suggestions given below, candidates can get 85 to 95 plus score in the Home Science subject exam.

Understand the syllabus and blueprint

To score good marks in High School Home Science examination, first of all the candidates have to understand the syllabus and blueprint. For this, candidates should first see the complete latest syllabus. So that there is no confusion regarding syllabus and questions. At the same time, also solve the question papers of previous years in board exams.
By doing this you will also get information about important questions of the exam. Practice daily till the exam by downloading model papers from UPMSP website. Give priority attention to high weightage sections like food, nutrition and health.

solve in a timely manner

In the examination of Home Science subject, candidates have to solve the questions carefully and in a timely manner. Write from the answer headings and revise. Instead of studying from many places, revise only those notes or books from which you have prepared till now, in the last days of the exam.

Solve easy questions first in exam hall

Candidates have to make their own strategy in the Home Science exam. Read the paper for 5-10 minutes as soon as you get it in the exam room. Ask easy questions first. So that you get confidence regarding the exam.

Draw diagrams where necessary

Keep the answer sheet clean in the examination room. Make diagrams only where necessary. If possible, make a small chart and table. Be sure to give examples. Chapters from which questions of higher marks come. Mark them. Prepare for two, four and six mark questions separately.

Important units according to exam

Prepare for vitamin, protein, carbohydrate and mineral deficiency in diet and nutrition. Practice making a balanced diet chart also. Diseases caused by nutritional deficiency (like anemia, night blindness) are also asked in the exam. Make a table and memorize it. Nutrients, work sources and deficiency diseases are important from the point of view. Method of taking measurements, required sizes of pajama, blouse, frock, what precautions should be taken while washing raw colored clothes and parts of sewing machine are also often asked in the examination.
