Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. President of Shri Ram Dal and Mahamandaleshwar Balakdas Maharaj, who reached the conference organized by Hindu Conference Committee in Preet Vihar, has hit back at the statement of Maulana Jarjis Ansari of Etawah.

Mahamandaleshwar Balakdas said that Maulana Jarjis Ansari calling Ram Mandir as Babri Masjid and advising the Muslims of Uttar Pradesh to go to West Bengal and settle down is a statement that spreads animosity in the society.

He alleged that such statements promote the mentality of dividing the country. He said that every person living in India is safe, but those who talk anti-national should not have the right to live here. He said that such people should be encountered.

He also said that if the government does not take action in such cases then there will be a need to take strict steps. During the conference, he raised questions whether anyone could send such a large number of Muslims to Bengal and whether adequate arrangements for their living there were possible.

Present your arguments regarding the history of Ram temple

Speaking on the subject of Ram temple, Balakdas said that the temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya has been the center of faith for thousands of years. According to him, in history the temple was built by Maharaja Vikramaditya and Babar did not exist at that time. He claimed that Babar later demolished the temple and built a structure, which was called Babri.

Mahamandaleshwar said that Babar was not born in India, but was an external invader. He said that incidents like poisoning of Saint Haridas who worshiped in the temple are also mentioned in history.

He said that Ram temple was there in Ayodhya earlier also, is there today and will be there in the future also. He also added that according to him there was never a Babri Masjid there, rather the structure of the temple was changed to give it the Babri form.

Opinion expressed on cow slaughter, love jihad and films

Taking a tough stance on the issue of cow slaughter, Mahamandaleshwar said that the cow should be declared the national animal. He claimed that the role of some influential people in cow slaughter has also been coming to light.

On the subject of Love Jihad, he said that the society needs to be aware and should be alert to protect religious and cultural values. On the subject of films, he said that such films should be made which make the society aware and bring real incidents to the fore.

Supporting films like ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Kerala Story’, he said that such films provide information about real events to the society.
