The ICC pulled Bangladesh out of the tournament after they refused to travel to India due to security reasons and replaced them with Scotland in Group C. Pakistani captain Salman Ali Aga shared the sentiments of both the countries on this issue and expressed his gratitude to the Bangladeshi fans. It is really sad to see that they are not a part of this World Cup, but I hope they continue to support us throughout the tournament.
Big decision of Pakistani government
The seriousness of the matter can be gauged from the fact that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also taken a tough stance in this matter. Although Pakistan has confirmed to play in the tournament, but in protest has decided to withdraw from the high-voltage match against India to be held in Colombo on 15 February. Prime Minister Sharif made it clear that there should be no politics on the playing field and he has decided to skip the match in support of Bangladesh.
