Western Railway Maintenance News: A very important news has come out from the railway system for the motorists who travel regularly in the areas around Ahmedabad and Sanand. It has been decided to carry out urgent and very necessary repairs (maintenance) at Railway Crossing No. 16A located between Goraghuma and Sanand stations under Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway. Due to this technical operation, the traffic passing through this road will be completely closed from June 20.

The gate will be closed from June 20 morning to June 30 evening

As per the official information given by the Railway Administration, this railway gate (crossing no. 16A) at km 517/33-35 will be closed on 20 June 2026 from 08:00 AM onwards. This repair process will continue for 10 consecutive days, due to which no vehicles of any kind will be able to pass through here till 08:00 PM on 30 June 2026. Taking this block has become imperative for the safety of passengers and safe operation of trains.

Railways suggested alternate routes for motorists

A diversion plan has already been announced by the Western Railway so that the locals and daily commuters do not have to face any major problem due to the railway crossing being closed. Road users are specially requested to use alternative roads during this period.

Road Over Bridge (ROB): Motorists can continue their journey using the road over bridge at Railway Crossing No. 16.

Manipurgam Underpass: Apart from this, the underpass near Manipurgam can also be used to avoid traffic problems.

The Railway Department has appealed to all the motorists to plan their journey keeping in mind this report, so as to avoid the traffic jam situation and reach the destination on time.
