There is a good news for the poor and needy people who are dreaming of a permanent roof in Chhattisgarh. The Central Government has given permission for 2 lakh 80 thousand new houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban. Of these, construction of 2 lakh 65 thousand houses is still going on. The Central Government has also made it clear that if needed, the number of PM residence houses can be increased in the state.

Union Energy and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was in the state on Sunday. While talking to the media, he gave information about Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban. The Union Minister said that an amount of Rs 4000 crore has been approved for the houses of PM’s residence. The good thing is that out of these, Rs 3550 crore has also been released. These houses are being built under PM Awas Yojana Urban.

How much money is available under PM Awas Yojana BLC

There are 4 categories under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. One of these is the Beneficiary Based Distribution (BLC) category. Under this category, poor and needy people are given Rs 2.5 lakh by the government. If someone does not have his own land, then the government can provide him land for free or at a very low cost through other schemes. Under this scheme, permission is given to build a house of 30 to 35 square meters. In this, at least 2 rooms, kitchen, toilet and washroom have to be made.

In how many installments is the PM Awas Yojana money available?

Under this scheme, Rs 1.5 lakh is given by the Central Government while Rs 1 lakh is given by the State Government. In this scheme, money is released on the basis of construction. The money comes in 3 installments. 40-40 percent of the money comes in the first two installments. The remaining amount is received in the third instalment.

What is the eligibility of PM Awas Yojana
