The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) has suffered a major blow in the Lok Sabha. 6 out of 9 Lok Sabha MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray group have officially joined Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena during a high-profile event in Mumbai on Monday evening. With this defection, the political equations of Maharashtra have changed once again.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde looked very excited at the joint press conference held after inducting the MPs into the party. He welcomed the rebel MPs from the Uddhav group and roared that – now 6 tigers have come with us.
Eknath Shinde further added that all these MPs have now become part of the genuine Shiv Sena family. I heartily welcome him to the genuine Shiv Sena family. Recalling the past, he asserted that earlier we revolted to save the party’s official election symbol ‘Dhanush-Ban’ and the existence of the Shiv Sena party and now the second phase of this fight has begun.
