A few days ago, Elon Musk, in response to a social media post, said that a Starlink smartphone might be possible someday. After this statement, speculations started being made that the company is working on a phone which will connect directly to satellite and will not depend on the mobile network.
No active project, focus only on internet
Musk has now made it clear that Starlink’s entire focus is currently on satellite internet services. The company’s aim is to provide high-speed internet to remote and network-less areas of the world, and not to enter the smartphone hardware market.

Partnership with any mobile?
Although Starlink is not making smartphones, its partnership with T-Mobile in the US continues. With this partnership, users are getting the facility of direct-to-device satellite communication. This means that even if there is no mobile network, it is possible to remain connected through satellite in an emergency.
