Google is now bringing one of its very useful features for everyone. The company has confirmed that now sending files from Android phone to iPhone (Apple) will be even easier. Quick Share and AirDrop will soon work together to let you send photos or videos directly from most Android phones to your iPhone.

Quick Share: What’s changing?

Last year, Google introduced a feature that could send files from an Android phone directly to an iPhone or MacBook. But the problem was that it was limited only to Google’s Pixel 10 phones, due to which other Android users were not able to take advantage of it. Now the good news is that this wait is about to end. A senior Google official has said that by 2026 the company will start this feature for other Android phones as well (like Samsung, OnePlus etc.). Google is now working with other companies so that every Android user can easily transfer data to iPhone.

How will this be possible for everyone?

The main reason behind this big change is that Google has no longer limited this technology only to the hardware of Pixel phones. The company has made Quick Share available on the Play Store as an independent app, making it a software-based feature. Its biggest advantage is that now it can be provided in any brand of phone through a simple update. However, currently this feature is limited only to Pixel 10 series models like Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and 10 Pro Fold.

How does this work?

Google says that this feature connects two devices directly. The best thing about it is that your files do not go to the Internet or any external server (cloud), but are transferred directly from one phone to another. It works exactly like iPhone’s AirDrop.

Google has also given assurance in terms of security. They have got it investigated by a big security company (NetSPI) in which it has become clear that there is no risk of your information or data being stolen while sending files. It is completely secure and private.
