Nor to stand in line at the ticket counter. Through the Delhi Metro Sarthi app, the smartphone itself will work like a metro card, making the journey completely digital and easy.

The QR code based ticketing system started at Delhi Metro stations is the foundation of this change. In this technology a re-usable QR code is generated in the phone. In this, the QR code once created remains valid as long as the balance exists. There is no need to buy a new ticket before every journey
Virtual card is made from Delhi Metro Sarthi app
To convert the phone into a metro card, one has to use the Delhi Metro Sarthi app, which was earlier known as Momentum 2.0. It works on both Android and iPhone. Login with mobile number and OTP. After this select Virtual Smart Card option. In this, it will ask you for a minimum amount, as soon as it is filled, the QR code will be activated in the phone. Now one can travel by scanning this QR code at the entry and exit gates.
