Bites dipped in dark chocolate melted with the double boiler trick are loved by children and give a royal taste experience to adults. Homemade sweets prepared with Valentine’s special touch are as easy to make as they are delicious to eat. This time, you can take care of your partner and family’s heart as well as health by giving them this guilt-free treat.
Roasting Superfoods
First of all, take one cup of makhana, cashew nuts and almonds in a heavy bottomed pan. Fry them on low flame until the makhana becomes crunchy and the dry fruits start giving a nice aroma. Roasting not only eliminates moisture but also gives the chocolate a smoky and nutty flavor. You can keep the raisins raw so that its chewy texture remains intact.
Melting Dark Chocolate
Heating chocolate directly over flame can cause burns. For this, boil water in a big vessel and place a glass bowl over it. Add pieces of dark chocolate in it. The heat of the steam will slowly melt the chocolate and become shiny. This method maintains the quality of the chocolate.
preparing coarse mixture
Let the roasted makhana and dry fruits cool down a bit. Now put them in the mixer jar and also add the pitted soft dates. Stir the mixer intermittently so that the mixture does not become a fine powder, but remains coarse and crunchy. The dates will bind the mixture together and also provide natural sweetness.
setting in mold
Pour the prepared coarse mixture into chocolate molds or any small mould. With the help of your fingers or a spoon, press it well so that it takes the shape of the mold. If you do not have moulds, you can also shape it into small laddus or barfis. Now keep them in the refrigerator for at least 15-20 minutes to set.
The Magic of Chocolate Dipping
When the dry fruit bites are completely set, take them out of the mold. Now dip these bites one by one in the pre-melted dark chocolate. Using a fork, extra chocolate will be removed easily. This layer will give your homemade dessert the look and taste exactly like premium Belgian chocolate.

Final chilling and serving
Place the coated chocolates on butter paper and refrigerate again for 10 minutes so that the top layer hardens. Gift it to your partner or eat it with your family.
