LeafyBus Partnership With Volvo Eicher To Deploy 100 Electric Intercity Sleeper Bus: At present, intercity bus service is very convenient and beneficial for the people and if sleeper buses are available then the fun of the journey doubles. In such a situation, New Delhi based electric bus startup Lifibus has decided to run 100 electric intercity sleeper buses in the national capital in collaboration with Volvo Eicher Truck and Buses.

Partnership with Volvo Eicher Trucks & Buses

A partnership has been signed with LiFebus and Volvo Eicher Truck & Buses and this agreement will be officially launched with 35 buses by 31 March 2026. After this, in the next 18 months, electric sleeper buses will be run on many popular and busy routes including Delhi-Dehradun and Delhi-Lucknow for the convenience of passengers. Inetra EV Pvt Ltd will lease this fleet and help it expand across the country.

Electric buses are replacing diesel

Let us tell you that Lifibus is India’s first long-distance electric bus operator. Where earlier the buses used to be conventional diesel powered, now many companies have started intercity electric bus service instead and gradually they are not only having a positive impact on the environment, but the passengers also get to enjoy a quiet and pleasant journey.

Skyline Pro E 13.5 meter buses

LiFebus will now operate 100 Skyline Pro E 13.5m electric intercity sleeper buses in collaboration with Eicher Truck & Buses. Its objective is to promote clean travel and reduce dependence on diesel in long distance travel. Initially, 35 buses will be rolled out on major electric vehicle routes by March 31, 2026. Amidst all this, let us tell you that companies like Volvo and Eicher are working on route planning, charging infrastructure and operational support under joint venture, so that passengers can get a comfortable and reliable electric journey.

‘Buses with better range and good safety features’

Rohan Dewan, Co-Founder of LeafyBus, says that our partnership with Volvo Eicher will help LeafyBus provide electric sleeper buses on busy intercity routes where passengers want comfort, affordable and reliable travel. The Skyline Pro E 13.5 meter electric sleeper buses have a 36+D layout, with sleeping areas above and below. These buses run on 400 kWh LFT battery and 235 kW permanent magnet motor. These are equipped with advanced braking system and front and rear air suspension as well as energy-efficient systems, which ensure better range and safety.
