State Bureau, Jagran Lucknow. The political and parliamentary history of the state will be presented through modern technology through the proposed digital art gallery in the Vidhan Bhawan complex. In this gallery, the biographies, tenure and major achievements of the state’s Chief Ministers, Legislative Assembly Speakers and other great personalities will be displayed in digital format.
For this, the government has allocated Rs 4.10 crore in the budget. Interactive touch screen panels will be installed in the gallery, through which visitors will be able to see detailed information, photos and videos related to any leader or historical event. Apart from this, rare pictures and documents related to swearing-in ceremony, passing of important bills and historical meetings will also be available in digital form.
Audio-video clips of important speeches related to the proceedings of the Chief Ministers and Legislative Assembly will also be a part of the gallery. The journey of political development of the state will be presented in the form of a year-wise digital timeline, so that visitors can understand the entire history at a glance.
Also, for the convenience of researchers and members, a digital archive system will be developed, in which old records and reference materials will be kept safe. Equipped with modern LED screens, projection and sound system, this gallery will not only be informative but will also enhance the dignity and attraction of Vidhan Bhavan.
Apart from this, the central air conditioning plant installed in the Legislative Assembly Pavilion will also be extensively upgraded. Equipment will be installed for better arrangement of heating and cooling through modern technology. Rs 3.65 crore has been given for this work.
To increase the grandeur and attractiveness of the Legislative Building, facade lighting will also be installed in the portico of the Legislative Council. Rs 4.93 crore has been given for this. A digital library with modern facilities will also be established in the Legislative Council, so that research and reference material can be accessible to the members through digital medium. A provision of Rs 4.93 crore has been ensured in the budget for this project.
