As soon as the threat of blowing up the Civil Court with a bomb was received in the mail, the investigating police became active and reached the court and evacuated the entire premises. Information about bomb in Azamgarh court at 9.50 on official mail, District Judge Jaiprakash Pandey informed the police as soon as he received the information.
After this the police force evacuated the court premises and started investigating the court premises. Police and intelligence agencies reached the spot, evacuated the entire premises and started investigation by safely evacuating the lawyers, litigants and employees present in the court.
As soon as the threatening message was received through email, the proceedings of all the courts were immediately postponed as a precautionary measure. Bomb disposal squad and dog squad started intensive search of the premises. The suspicious object found during the search is being examined in detail.
During the investigation, SSP Dr. Anil Kumar along with police personnel from several police stations, bomb disposal squad, dog squad and other police officers are taking action on the spot. The officers remained hesitant in saying anything. Security has been beefed up in the surrounding area and additional police force has been deployed.
