Jagran correspondent, Shamli. In the digital age, mobile phones in the hands of children are now becoming a threat to their mental health and life. The Chairperson of the Women’s Commission took cognizance of the recent incident of three sisters committing suicide in Ghaziabad. After this, Shamli BSA is also preparing to issue orders. After the order is issued on Monday, all school operators will have to follow it.
Mobile gaming, internet media and excessive use of internet at a young age are being held responsible for the suicide incident in Ghaziabad. Recently, Women Commission Chairperson Babita Chaudhary expressed grief over the accident and clarified that mobile addiction among young children is causing irritability and depression in their behaviour.
To stop this, it is mandatory to take strict steps at the initial level itself. He has directed that now no educational work from the school will be sent on mobile phones to the children of primary level up to class five. The entire study will take place in the classroom only. Due to which neither children will buy mobile phones in the name of studies nor will they get addicted to using mobile phones.
In view of this, preparations are being made to take strict action in the district also. BSA Lata Rathore said that orders in this regard will be issued for all schools on Monday. School management will ensure that no school related work is sent to the small child on mobile phone. Teachers have been given the responsibility to hold meetings with parents and make them aware of the ill effects of mobile phones.
