Four named in case of stone pelting on Kanwariyas, FIR against 25 unidentified

On Saturday night, Muslim youths had beaten up the Kanwadis staying in the Shiv temple of Mohalla Chhebra in the city Kotwali area. Actually, Bhandara was going on here and DJ was also playing. Muslim youth were having a birthday party a little nearby. During this time there was an altercation between the two parties, after which fighting and stone pelting also took place. Stone pelting continued on both sides in the presence of Dial 112 team. Four people including constable Shane Raza Khan were injured. However, the police reached the spot in the night itself and brought the situation back to normal.

Police arrested three accused and deployed police force in the locality for security reasons.

The injured were admitted to the government hospital and security arrangements were tightened in the locality. Abhishek Saini of the locality has lodged an FIR in this matter. His allegation is that they were organizing Bhandara in the temple. At the same time Muslim youth came there and started commenting. When they protested, they were beaten and stoned.

Police arrested two accused

In this case, the police have offered Namaz to Imran, resident of Mukim Mohalla Batwal, Younis resident of Mohalla Darbare Kalan and Zahid resident of Basavan Ganj. Whereas FIR has also been registered against 25 unknown people. Police have arrested Imran and two others. Efforts are being made to arrest other accused. At present police force is deployed in the locality.
