In the western area of the city, 18 accused were declared land mafia in the meeting of the district level Anti Land Mafia Task Force two days ago in the case of selling ATS, Election Commission and other government lands by the relatives and close friends of Mafia Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf.
Now, instructions have been given by DM Manish Kumar Verma to the concerned officials to take action against them under the Gangster and Goonda Act as well as Rasuka.
The DM directed the SDM and ACP of Soraon, Sadar, Phulpur and Karchana to identify the active land mafia and take action against them. Instructed officers of all departments to take strict action by providing the list of encroachment on government land.
The department should provide certificates that there is no illegal encroachment on their land. All SDMs were instructed to hold a Tehsil level task force meeting within 15 days to identify the land mafia and vacate the land encroached by them.
If there is a complaint against someone for repeatedly occupying land, strict action should be taken against him by marking him as a land mafia on the instructions of the government order.
Crackdown is being tightened on those who encroach on government land and do plotting. Two days ago, 18 people were declared land mafia and instructions were given to take necessary action. Now instructions have been given to take action against these accused under Rasuka also. Instructions have also been given to send all the accused to jail.

If caught cheating, case will be filed against the manager and principal
Prayagraj: Regarding the UP Board 10th and 12th examinations, DM Manish Kumar Verma said on Thursday that if cheating is caught at any centre, a case will be registered against the manager, principal and staff there.
If mass copying is caught, action will be taken under Gangster and NSA. Told that all preparations have been completed to conduct cheating-free examination. The examination centers will be monitored through CCTV cameras.
