Director of Mental Health Institute and Hospital, Prof. Dinesh Rathore told that when there is praise for some work, dopamine and other hormones are released in the reward system of the brain, which gives happiness. Children study throughout the year, after which they are praised for good marks. It takes more time.

Children who are not appreciated at home and are troubled by family problems start playing games on mobile for happiness. Points and gold coins are earned by playing mobile games, which gives instant happiness. From here the time spent playing mobile games gradually increases.

As the time of playing games increases, the secretion of dopamine hormone starts increasing rapidly. They start considering the virtual world as reality and move away from society. Don’t even talk to anyone. This addiction starts becoming fatal, they start completing the tasks and challenges given by virtual players blindly.

These tasks themselves are deadly. Dr. Vishal Sinha, Chairman of the Psychiatry Department of SN Medical College, said that if one gets addicted to mobile and mobile games, it takes four to six months to get out of it. The reward system is manipulated with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and medications.

Counseling is done. Children are involved in other activities including sports, it takes up to six months to get rid of the addiction.

Dr. Vishal Sinha, Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry of SN Medical College, said that mobile addiction is being reported in every fourth youth up to the age of 20 years who are coming to the psychiatrist for consultation. This is similar to other addictions including alcohol; when people stop using mobile phones, they start behaving aggressively.
