The budget of Rs 27,103 crore released for infrastructure and industrial development schemes will form the basis of this. The government aims to create lakhs of direct and indirect jobs through industrial clusters, logistics hubs and data centres.

As soon as an anchor unit is established, dozens of supporting units in the raw material supply, packaging, machinery maintenance, transportation, warehousing and service sectors develop around it. In Budget 2026-27, Rs 3,822 crore (19% increase) was made for the MSME sector and Rs 5,041 crore for the textile industry.

Target set to create 30000 new jobs

The government has set a target of creating 30,000 new jobs in the textile industry sector for the year 2026-27. An effort has been made to attract big investors by arranging Rs 575 crore for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone and Rs 1,000 crore for the implementation of investment promotion policy.

Provision of Rs 1100 crore for connecting Jewar Airport with Ganga Expressway, Rs 1250 crore for Agra-Lucknow to Ganga Expressway link and Rs 500-500 crore for Vindhya Expressway and other connectivity projects will reduce both the cost and time of goods transportation.

Logistics sector will shine with better connectivity. There is a provision of Rs 2,059 crore in the budget for IT and electronics sector, which is 76 percent more than last time. Rs 225 crore for AI Mission and Rs 95.16 crore for Cyber ​​Security Operation Center will generate high skill based jobs. The initial budget of Rs 100 crore will prove to be effective for the plan to develop five data center clusters of five gigawatt capacity.
