In the case registered against 13 accused including Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh for violating the code of conduct, the court on Wednesday summoned Amethi’s SOG in-charge Anup Kumar Singh, head constables Ajit Kumar Pandey and Vivek Pandey and constable Pankaj Kumar for testimony. MP-MLA Court Magistrate Shubham Verma has fixed February 16 for the next hearing in the case.

MP Sanjay Singh is accused of holding a meeting without permission in Hasanpur village of Bandhuakala police station during the three-tier Panchayat elections on 13 April 2021. Praveen Kumar, the then SO of Bandhuakala police station, had filed a case against 13 named and 45 unidentified people including Sanjay Singh for violation of the code of conduct. On March 3, 2025, the statement of Sanjay Singh and other accused was recorded in the court.
