Jagran correspondent, Deoria. Former IPS Amitabh Thakur was discharged by doctors from Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College after three days. During the investigation on the fourth day, the doctors took the decision after the test report came back fine. The former IPS also told that he is feeling good now. In such a situation, he was given medicines and discharged under the supervision of Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Head of the Department of Surgery.

On the complaint of stomach ache, the former IPS was shown from the district jail to the surgery department of Maharishi Devraha Baba Medical College on Saturday. In which the doctors admitted him to the surgical ward and started his treatment. Blood test, ultrasound and CT scan of the stomach were done in two days. In which the doctors found that he was having stomach pain due to stomach infection.

They were not given anything to eat on Saturday and Sunday. Medicines were given only through injection. On Monday, he drank coconut water on the advice of doctors. On Tuesday morning he ate khichdi. After ultrasound examination in the afternoon, he was given medicines and discharged from the medical college.
