In an attempt to find the young man who had jumped from the Takharau Canal bridge three days ago, the body of the fisherman who had jumped was recovered after 60 hours near the Bilinda Canal bridge. As soon as the information was received, the villager’s relatives reached there and created a ruckus by alleging murder.
Started demanding action against policemen who tried to block Lucknow Expressway. On information, ASP Rural, SDM Karhal and CO reached the spot along with the police force. After convincing the relatives, the police sent the body to the mortuary for post-mortem.
Attempt to block Lucknow Expressway, demand for action against policemen
An unknown youth had jumped into the water at around 6:30 pm on Thursday evening from Takharau canal bridge located on Kishni-Karhal road in Kurra area. Police called nearby divers. Then, 40-year-old fisherman Raju Kashyap, resident of village Sad, also jumped into the canal to save the youth who had jumped into the canal. When neither of them came out till late, their relatives along with the villagers reached there at 7:30 in the evening and created a jam. Since then, four teams of NDRF along with the police were searching day and night for the two youths.
ASP Rural, SDM and CO convinced the angry relatives and sent the body to the mortuary.
Meanwhile, around 1.45 pm on Sunday afternoon, the body of fisherman Raju was found floating near Bilinda Canal bridge in Etawah district. After getting the information, the relatives reached with the villagers. Where they started demanding action against the police personnel who accused him of murder and tried to block the Lucknow Expressway and threw Raju into the canal.
On information, ASP Rural Rahul Mithas, SDM Karhal Sunishtha Singh, CO Ajay Chauhan, Kurra Inspector Vikrant Singh Gurjar reached the spot along with the police force. After convincing the relatives, the ASP has sent the body to the mortuary for post-mortem. In this regard, ASP said that the body has been sent to the mortuary. Further action will be taken in the case after the post-mortem.
