Speaking during the Budget Session 2026 in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Today, a campaign is being run to make Uttar Pradesh strong, safe and self-reliant through social security. Before 2017, the goons and mafia growing up under the protection of power in Uttar Pradesh were running a parallel government. After 2017, Uttar Pradesh has become a state of celebration today. Today there is rule of law.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “… the Governor is the constitutional head of the state. The conduct of our main opposition towards the constitutional head weakens the democracy… It is the responsibility of all of us to respect our national symbols and have a sense of respect and honor towards the constitutional heads under the system of the Constitution. We should not have such conduct which will lead the future generation of the country in the wrong direction… The kind of opposition we have, there is no use in expecting anything like this from them…”
