Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. The discussion about the Lamborghini car accident had not subsided yet when the havoc of the Mini Cooper car was seen. On Monday late night at 1.45 am again the havoc of speed was seen. A young man driving a Mini Cooper car at a speed of about 120 km per hour hit a bike rider on the Medical College bridge. Due to this he was seriously injured.

The car got damaged after the accident. During this time the accused left the car and ran away. Passersby have caught one of his associates. The police have admitted the injured to LLR Hospital.

Maswanpur resident Raju Shukla told that late on Monday night he was returning home by bike via Motijheel at around 12:45 am. He was still on the Medical College bridge when a car coming from behind at a speed of 120 km/h hit him due to which he collided with the railing of the bridge and got seriously injured. The collision was so severe that the young man broke one arm and leg, while the car also went out of control and got damaged.

During this time, the accused who was driving the car escaped while his companion was caught by the passersby. Kakadev police station in-charge said that the companion of the youth riding in the car told that the car belonged to Dr. Sparsh. Injured Raju Shukla has been admitted to LLR Hospital. Based on the complaint of the relative, a report will be filed and action will be taken.

Car is in the name of a medical student resident of Panki B Block, one accused in custody

On the complaint of a relative, the police registered a report on the basis of car number and detained one accused. The car owner, medical student Sparsh, said that his Lucknow resident friend had borrowed the car and he was not aware of the accident. Raju Shukla, a resident of Maswanpur, was returning home on bike via Motijheel late on Monday night at quarter to one. Then a speeding white Mini Cooper car hit the bike from behind, due to which Raju collided with the railing of the bridge. According to eyewitnesses, the estimated speed of the car was around 120 km per hour. On receiving the information, Kakadev police station and Raju Shukla’s sister-in-law Shivangi reached there. Police removed the car and bike and admitted Raju to LLR Hospital. Later the relatives took Raju to a private hospital located at Awas Vikas 3. Shivangi filed a complaint on the basis of car number, on the basis of which the police filed a report.

Based on the complaint filed by the relatives of the injured, investigation is being done by filing a report under various sections including careless driving endangering life, careless driving on a public road and other sections.

Based on the data registered in RTO, Mini Cooper car worth Rs 65 lakh is registered in the name of Sparsh Singh, resident of B Block, Panki. Sparsh told that he is studying MBBS. He had given the car to his friend Sumit Narayan, resident of Lucknow. They do not know who else was in the car and where they had gone.

Maswanpur resident Shivangi Shukla told that her brother-in-law Raju was returning home from work late at night. He is somehow getting his treatment done by taking a loan.
