On this day, along with Budhaditya, Shukraditya, Lakshmi Narayan and Chaturgrahi Yoga, there will also be Sarvartha Siddhi, Preeti, Dhruva and Vyatipat Yoga in Aquarius. Pt. Ashish Shastri, the priest of the city’s Sitaram temple, told that Lord Shiva is a triple creation. In this, worship of Shiva is described in three ways. In this, whoever worships Shiva with the same feelings as Satvik, Rajasik or Tamasik, Shiva gives him the same results. Householders perform Sattvik puja and Rajasic puja.

In Satvik worship, milk, curd, ghee, honey, bel leaves, flowers, sweets, fruits are used and in Rajasik, Tamasik worship is done with hemp, Dhatura, Rudraksha, lotus flower. This night of Mahashivratri is not just an occasion for fasting and worship, but also a rare combination of self-purification, spiritual practice and receiving Shiva’s blessings. Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month will start from 5:04 pm on Sunday, February 15, which will continue till 5:34 pm on Monday, February 16.

Due to Chaturdashi Tithi falling at night, Mahashivratri fast and worship will be done on 15th February only. Dividing the night of Mahashivratri into four parts and worshiping Shiva has special significance in the scriptures.
