New Delhi: After making a great start to their campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026, the Indian cricket team has now reached Delhi for its next stop. Ahead of the match against Namibia on February 12, Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir hosted a special dinner at his Delhi residence, where the entire Team India was seen united. Many fans had reached there to see the players of the Indian team.

Along with the team players, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla also attended this dinner program organized in Delhi on Sunday evening. The gathering was not just a formal dinner but also a great opportunity to strategize and strengthen team bonding before the next important match against Namibia. After the initial win against America, the team’s confidence has increased a lot and coach Gambhir wants to maintain it.

India had defeated USA by 29 runs in their first group-stage match. In that match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, captain Suryakumar Yadav led the team from the front and played a stormy innings of unbeaten 84 runs on 49 balls. Thanks to the useful contributions of Ishan Kishan (20) and Tilak Verma (25), India had scored a challenging score of 161 runs.

Strong performance by bowlers

The American team, which came to chase the target, was stopped by the Indian bowlers at the score of 132/8. The trio of Mohammed Siraj (3 wickets), Arshdeep Singh (2 wickets) and Axar Patel (2 wickets) showed great discipline on the Wankhede pitch. Now defending champions India are eyeing to further strengthen their position in the group stage by defeating Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on 12th February.
