Ishaan’s true ferocious form was seen in the fifth over, when he scored 6, 6, 4 and 6 consecutive runs on the last four balls of Anrich Nortje’s over, scoring a total of 22 runs. This inning of his has indicated that he is absolutely ready to open with Abhishek in the World Cup.

Scored a century against New Zealand

Ishaan’s excellent form has continued in the last few matches. Earlier, in the fifth T20 match against New Zealand, he had scored a century in just 42 balls. His jugalbandhi with Abhishek Sharma in the warm-up match was also amazing. Together they added 80 runs for the first wicket in just 5.4 overs, in which Abhishek contributed 24 runs in 18 balls.
