Darbhanga Airport: Monday was a hectic day for passengers at Darbhanga Airport in Bihar. Passengers were stranded here as two airline services were affected simultaneously. An incident of tire bursting on the runway itself has come to light during the landing of SpiceJet flight (SG 115) coming from Mumbai.

What happened?

At 9:58 am when the SpiceJet plane was landing, the 150 passengers on board were panicked when a tire burst. However, the plane was able to land safely due to the pilot’s suggestion. After the incident, the technical team completed the repair of the aircraft after eight hours of effort, after which it was able to depart for Mumbai at 6:38 pm.

There was also trouble in Akasa Air

On the one hand, the SpiceJet incident was fresh, on the other, there was a technical glitch in Akasa Air’s flight (QP 1139) scheduled to go to Mumbai. The flight was forced to be canceled after the damage to the plane was not rectified. The airline company has arranged hotel accommodation for all the passengers. Now this plane will fly to Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

A total of 13 flights were operating at Darbhanga airport on Monday, but these two major incidents caused a lot of disruption for passengers. Currently, the airport administration and technical team are monitoring the situation.
