Canada lost four wickets in the power play itself.
Canada had a very bad start and captain Dilpreet Bajwa was out on the very first ball. Wicketkeeper Quinton De Kock caught the ball of Lungi Ngidi. Ngidi took four wickets for 31 runs. Ngidi dismissed Yuvraj Sharma and Kirton in the third over. At this time Canada’s score was 26 runs for three wickets in three overs. Dhaliwal and Harsh Thaker (33 in 29 balls) added 69 runs for the fifth wicket but Marco Yansen took two consecutive wickets in the 18th over to take the team to victory.

Markram completed his half-century in just 28 balls by hitting a four off Bajwa. Whereas Ryan Rickelton scored 31 runs in 21 balls with three fours and one six. Markram was caught by left-arm spinner Ansh Patel at long-on by Heyliger. After this, Rickelton also returned by giving a direct catch to Harsh Thaker on Patel’s ball.
