New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board has taken another anti-India step after boycotting the match against Team India in T20 World Cup 2026. PCB has banned telecasting the matches of the 11th season of Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026) in India. PCB has taken this step by selling international broadcast rights of PSL 11 matches. However, on the contrary, it is believed that there is a possibility of loss for Pakistan because most of the companies advertising in cricket matches are Indian and out of the population of about 140 crore in India, 80 percent of the population of cricket matches is a big audience.

Pakistani company has bought the rights

According to media reports, Pakistan Cricket Board had invited bids for the global media rights of PSL 11, in which Wali Technologies has emerged as the biggest bidder. PCB has given the rights for all other places except broadcasting rights in India to Wali Technologies for one year. Wali Technologies claims itself to be a company promoting ‘Made in Pakistan’ technology.

Price claimed to be 149% more expensive than last time

PSL CEO Salman Nasir said, ‘Wali Technologies has purchased global media rights at a price 149% higher than last year, which reflects PSL’s growing brand value and international demand. We are grateful to Wali Technologies for setting a new benchmark.

Last time Sony had stopped the broadcast midway

Last year, the rights to broadcast PSL in India were with Sony Sports and FanCode. However, both of them stopped the broadcast midway after the attack by Pakistani terrorists in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Besides, all the content of this league was also removed from its platform. This time the PSL will start after the T20 World Cup 2026 on March 26 and will continue till May 3. For this, bidding for players will be held on February 11.
