Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi has approved works worth over ₹3.28 crore for the development of tourism and pilgrimage centers in Gujarat. This decision will create modern facilities at the holy places and tourist spots of the state, which will further strengthen Gujarat on the global tourism map.
Gandhinagar: Another important step has been taken by the state government to strengthen Gujarat on the global tourism map and for the well-being of lakhs of devotees visiting the holy pilgrimages of the state. Deputy Chief Minister of the state Harsh Sanghvi today approved various important proposals for the overall development of tourism and pilgrimages in the state.
Gujarat is a wonderful confluence of nature, culture and faith. Development of tourism industry and pilgrimages has been the priority of the government in the development model of the state. Various tourism projects and development works of faith centers have been given administrative approval today to provide the best facilities to tourists and devotees.
Approval for Solar Roof Top Project for Upleta Swaminarayan Mandir
To add facilities to the Aksharpurshottam Swaminarayan temple at Kosamba in Valsad district, a grant has been approved for a road leading to the tourist attraction Sunrise and Sunset Point at Saputara tourist spot in Dang district. Apart from this, a solar roof top project has been approved to promote green energy at the Swaminarayan temple located at Upleta in Rajkot district.
Grant sanctioned for Jinodwar of Puranic Siddhanath Mahadev Temple, Vadodara
While expenditure has also been sanctioned for the convenience of pilgrims at Shri Mallinathji Maharaj historical Jain Tirth at Bhonyani in Ahmedabad district. Grants have also been sanctioned for various development works including main gate, borewell, kota stone flooring, decorative gates and electrification of the Puranic temple of Sri Siddhanath Mahadev Mandir in Vadodara district.
Similarly, administrative approval has been given for carrying out various civil as well as solar development works in the Sri Hatkeswar Mahadev Temple premises at Adajan, Surat. For the development works of all these pilgrimages and tourist places, the Deputy Chief Minister has allocated Rs. Development works worth more than 3.28 crores have been sanctioned.
The Deputy Chief Minister has given necessary directions to the officials of the concerned departments to complete all these approved projects within the time frame and in a quality manner. With this decision of the government, the tourism and pilgrimage sector of Gujarat will get a new height in the coming days.
