Junagadh Municipal Corporation fire department successfully rescued 19 people who were trapped in water due to heavy rain on Mendara-Samadhiala road of Junagadh. The fire and emergency services team arrived on time and rescued all those trapped in the vehicles safely.
Junagadh Rain: The lives of 19 people were put in danger due to heavy rain on Mendara-Samadhiala road in Junagadh district this evening. However, due to the timely and daring operation of the Fire and Emergency Services Department of the Junagadh Municipal Corporation, all these people have been saved.
Today on July 3, 2026 at 5:17 PM, the fire control room received information that vehicles were stuck in water on Mendara-Samadhiala road due to heavy rain. On receiving this information, the team of fire and emergency services immediately reached the spot.
On reaching the spot, it was seen that the road was flooded due to heavy rain, in which a total of three vehicles namely a four-wheeler, a rickshaw and an eco cart were trapped in the water flow. A total of 19 people were on board these vehicles, who were trapped due to the sudden flow of water.
Fire department personnel waded into waist-deep flowing water and carried out a rescue operation. All the 19 people were safely pulled out of the water by the jawans. After which all the people were taken to a safe place and their safety was ensured.
