8th Pay Commission: The deadline for submission of employee related data on the 8th Pay Commission portal has been extended. Earlier this deadline was June 30. Now it has been changed to 31st July 2026. The pay commission has said that the reason behind the extension of the deadline is that many stakeholders could not provide their information. Due to which this decision has been taken.
Why did the 8th Pay Commission extend the deadline?
A statement from the Pay Commission stated that many ministries, departments and Union Territories could not deposit the data within the stipulated timeline. Under these circumstances, the last date for depositing data on the portal has been fixed as 31st July 2026. It is worth mentioning here that the information can be presented only through the port. Information sent via hard copy and email will not be considered.
Can be deposited through online portal only
The Pay Commission has also asked that all nodal officers ensure that the data is furnished within the extended timeline. Along with this, according to the information provided by the Pay Commission, the data submitted through physical copy, email, excel sheet, PDF files will not be considered valid. The Pay Commission has clarified that the data can be submitted only through the online portal.
