Gujarat Rain, Junagadh Rain: Meghraja rained heavily on Gujarat for the fourth consecutive day after the southwest monsoon set in. Especially in some parts of Saurashtra, scenes were created where the raudra form of Megha was seen. Especially in Junagadh district, as the aura has broken, due to continuous rains for 14 hours, the condition of water-bombing has been created everywhere.

Bare Megh Khanga in Mangrol-Keshod, fields turned into bats

According to the statistics issued by the Gandhinagar-based State Emergency Operations Center, 157 talukas of the state received rain during a 14-hour period from 6 am to 8 pm today. Among which Meghraja is batting violently in Junagadh district since early morning.

During the day, Mangrol in Junagadh district received the highest rainfall of 273 mm (10.75 mm), Keshod 272 mm (10.7 in), Manavdar 226 mm (8.9 in), Malia Hatina 218 mm (8.5 in), Visavdar 103 mm (4 in), Vanthali 99 mm. (3.9 inches) and Junagadh city received 62 mm (2.4 inches) of rain.

Especially in Mangrol and Keshod divisions, due to continuous heavy rains, fields were turned into bats. Drivers were stuck on the Junagadh-Mangrol state highway as water started flowing up to one and a half feet.

Even in Mangrol, the low-lying areas were flooded with knee-deep water. In Mangrol, there were scenes of land subsidence at many places. In which ST full of passengers near the tower. The bus got stuck in a ditch. However, the locals and the Municipal Corporation team rescued the ST bus safely with the help of JCB, saving lives of the passengers.

While the weather department has issued an alert following the forecast of heavy rain for three more days, the Junagadh administration has gone into alert mode. Officials including Mamlatdar of Keshod visited the flood affected areas. Where people have been appealed not to go out except for essential work. Not only this, a team of NDRF has been kept on standby at Keshod.

Heavy rains also increased in Gir-Somnath and Porbandar, inundated fields in Sutrapada

Apart from Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Porbandar districts of Saurashtra have also witnessed heavy rainfall today. In which 195 mm (7.6 inches) rain has been recorded in Sutrapada taluka, 179 mm (7 inches) in Jamjodhpur of Jamnagar, 168 mm (6.6 inches) in Patan-Veraval and 144 mm (5.6 inches) in Kutiana of Porbandar.

In these talukas too, the farmers have faced hardship as the rivers and canals are overflowing due to heavy rains. However, the rainwater has also flooded the fields, creating scenes of rivers flowing on the roads in the low-lying areas.

More than 1 inch of rain in 54 talukas, 69 talukas inundated in 2 hours

Rain has fallen in 69 taluks in a period of 2 hours from 6 pm to 8 pm. Out of which the highest rainfall of 57 mm (2.2 inches) has been received in Visavadar in Junagadh. Apart from this, 51 mm (2 inches) of rain fell in Bijapur of Mehsana, 43 mm in Kotamba of Mahisagar, 35 mm in Jalod of Dahod, 31 mm in Kapdwanj of Kheda.

While today, 54 talukas received more than 1 inch, 25 talukas received more than 2 inches, 14 talukas received more than 3 inches and 8 talukas received more than 5 inches of rain.
