A 7th grade student committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor in Mehsana
St. in Mehsana. An incident has come to light that a student studying in class 7 has committed suicide. Shivkrupa Society is located next to Pandit Deendayal Nagar Awas Yojana on Somnath Road in the city. A student living in this society and studying in class 7 committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of the residence. The police reached on being informed about the incident and further action has been taken.

A total of over 16.35 lakh students enrolled in 37,211 schools in the state
Spokesperson Minister Jitu Vaghani today told the media about the success of the three-day school entrance festival and Kanya Kelavani Mohotsav that a total of more than 16.35 lakh students have been enrolled in 37,211 schools of the state during this three-day campaign organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel.
The water storage capacity of Gujarat increased by 20,789 lakh cubic feet this year
Sujlam Suflam Jal Abhiyan working with the resolution to raise the ground water level in the state and increase the coverage of water storage was discussed in the cabinet meeting. Giving details of this, the spokesperson minister Jitu Vaghani has said that as a result of the operations carried out under the Sujalam Suflam Yojana this year, the water storage capacity of the state has increased by 20,789 lakh cubic feet. The spokesperson added that due to well-planned planning in the last 8 years, the total water storage capacity of Gujarat has increased by 1,38,039 lakh cubic feet. Meanwhile, a total of 1,23,635 water harvesting works have been completed. Out of which a total of 206.73 lakh man days of employment have been generated.
Agriculture Department appeals to farmers to be careful during planting
The agriculture department has appealed to the farmers to plant with advance planning in view of the possibility of uncertainty of rainfall during the monsoon due to the effect of El Nino this year. Farmers have been asked to carry out farming operations in accordance with scientific recommendations to reduce potential risks in agriculture and maintain crop production. As per the guidance of agricultural experts, farmers have been advised to select crops and varieties that are ready on time, to sow short-term alternative crops such as millet, mung and guar if sowing of main crops is delayed, and to adopt intercropping, mulching and other moisture conservation methods to conserve soil moisture.
