Gujarat Monsoon Arrival 2026: The much awaited southwest monsoon has finally arrived in Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has announced that Monsoon has officially entered parts of South Gujarat.

Monsoon usually arrives in Gujarat around June 15, but this year the rain system was dispersed after reaching Maharashtra due to monsoon break conditions. So Monsoon has entered Gujarat 10 days late from its scheduled date. Although monsoon is yet to arrive in other parts of the state except South Gujarat, meteorologist Paresh Goswami has made a big prediction.

According to the Meteorological Department, Monsoon has reached all areas of South Gujarat on June 24. It includes rural areas of Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Navsari, Bardoli, Bilimora, Dang, Ahwa, Rajpipla and Chhota Udepur.

If the monsoon enters South Gujarat, then it is considered to have entered the natural state. However, monsoon has not yet reached North and Central Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch. Monsoon is moving at the same pace as it is now.

The third round of rains will be stormy from June 28 to July 5

Giving details in this regard, weather expert Paresh Goswami said that between 17 and 21 June last, in the first round, scattered areas of Gujarat received sowing rain. After which this second round of rain which started from June 22 can last till June 25. After which the third round of rain will be extremely stormy. In which universal rain may rain in most parts of the state from June 28 to July 5.

Heavy rain will occur in North Gujarat and Kutch for five days from July 1

Giving news of relief to the farmers, the weather expert said that by June 30, all parts of Saurashtra, Central Gujarat and South Gujarat will receive sowing rains. Although parts of North Gujarat and Kutch will receive scattered rains till June 30, there is a possibility of widespread rain in 5 areas over Kutch and North Gujarat from July 1 to 5.

In addition, Paresh Goswami said that this year, the amount of rainfall in the month of June has been very less compared to every year. However, there is no need to worry as it will continue to rain as usual in the month of July.
