Gujarat Education Minister Rivaba Jadeja visited the home of a drop out daughter in Surendranagar and persuaded her to go back to school. The government will take responsibility for studies up to college.
Surendranagar News: Continuous efforts are being made by the Gujarat government to spread the light of education to the people of the state and ensure that not a single child is deprived of education. In the same direction, State Minister for Primary, Secondary and Adult Education, Rivaba Jadeja, setting an outstanding example of human sensitivity and commitment to children’s education, set a commendable example today during her visit to Surendranagar district by personally visiting the home of a drop out daughter and putting her on the path of re-education.
Leaving the protocol aside, the minister reached his daughter’s house
The Minister came to know that Devyaniba, daughter of Mukesh Singh Jadeja, who lives near Shakti Mata Mandir, Dalmil Road, Surendranagar, has dropped out of studies for some reason. The education minister, ignoring the protocol, directly reached the daughter’s residence in person. As part of the state government’s ambitious back to school campaign, the minister sat next to daughter Devyaniba and had a very intimate and affectionate conversation. Knowing the details of the circumstances under which her daughter had to drop out, the minister explained to her family the importance of education for her daughter’s bright future.

Explaining the importance of education, the daughter showed readiness to study
The education minister’s warm approach and loving understanding had a positive effect on the daughter as well as her family and as a result she enthusiastically agreed to resume her studies in class-9. Daughter Devyaniba, who was shocked by this visit of the minister, said with new hope that today the education minister Rivaba Jadeja madam came to meet me in person. He very lovingly explained me about the continuation of studies and its implications on my life. We have had a very positive discussion. In today’s times education is very important especially for girls, and now I will resume my studies from tomorrow with full enthusiasm and seriousness by going to school.

The government will bear the cost of college by providing textbooks
During this visit, the education minister sweetened the mouth of daughter Devyaniba by handing over a set of textbooks of class 9 of the new academic session and blessed her to move forward. The daughter’s parents also expressed heartfelt thanks to the state government, appreciating the minister’s sensitivity and care as a parent.
Regarding this visit, Education Minister Rivaba Jadeja said that education of girls is indispensable for building a viable and progressive society. By re-admitting this daughter to school, the government will ensure all responsibility for her further studies up to high school and college. The government is fully committed to finding and re-admitting every drop out child, especially girls.
