E20 Fuel Safe:The country’s growing ethanol blending program has been widely discussed and speculated about in various rumours. In these circumstances, it was claimed that insurance claims for vehicles using E20 petrol could be affected. Now the central government has clarified the situation on this issue and said that E20 fuel is completely safe and there will be no impact on its vehicle validity.

The talk of canceling insurance claims by using E20 petrol is wrong

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has said in a statement that the talk of cancellation of insurance claims due to use of E20 petrol is completely false. The ministry said that all relevant organizations and experts have been consulted in this regard. After investigation it has been found that E20 petrol canceling insurance claim or invalidating insurance is just a rumor and there is no truth in it. The government says that blending ethanol in petrol has been happening for a long time in many countries of the world. It has been very successful in countries like America, Brazil and Japan.

Successful in saving foreign exchange

According to government information, India has so far been able to save more than 1.4 lakh crore rupees in foreign exchange due to the ethanol blending program. The fall in crude oil prices has reduced the country’s import bill and strengthened energy security. In addition, the demand for sugarcane, corn and other agricultural products for ethanol production has increased. Due to which the farmers have also got an opportunity for more income.
