Former Pakistan captain and experienced batsman Babar Azam came to bat at number four. He remained unbeaten till the end. He also hit a fifty. But, his strike rate was quite disappointing. Babar scored unbeaten 50 runs in 36 balls against Australia. His strike rate was 138.89. Babar hit only 3 fours and 1 six in his innings. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan scored 207 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Saim Ayub played a quick inning of 56 runs while Shadab Khan played a quick inning of 46 runs in 19 balls. However, Babar is being trolled on social media for his innings.

Babar’s strike rate can backfire for Pakistan in World Cup
Babar Azam was dropped from Pakistan’s T20 team after the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He was not playing T20 for a long time. But, he has been included in the team just before the T20 World Cup. Babar is also a part of the World Cup squad. However, his form remains a matter of concern.
Babar is not batting at the strike rate at which he is batting in T20 these days. Babar’s strike rate can also backfire in the T20 World Cup. Babar also participated in the Big Bash League. But his bat remained silent in the Big Bash also.
