As part of preparations for the Ratha Yatra, a grand Jalyatra was also held at the Jagannathji Temple today. After performing Ganga Puja on the banks of Somnath Bhudar of Sabarmati River, 108 holy kalashes were brought and Mahajalabhishek of Lord Jagannathji was performed. On this auspicious occasion the Lord appeared to the devotees in a special ‘Gajvesh’ (Ganapati form) seen only once in a year.
