Ahmedabad News: Young children studying in schools in Ahmedabad are playful and mischievous by nature. But sometimes the mischief of such children can prove to be dangerous for them too. Keeping this serious matter in mind, the District Education Officer has declared an alert for all the schools. According to this notification, dangerous activities of children will be curbed in schools.

The teachers will monitor the activities of the students

Special instructions have been given to the teachers and principals to keep a close eye on the activities of every student during the recess period in the school. Also, as per the instructions of the District Education Officer, along with learning the subjects, the teachers will also have to teach the lessons of safe behavior.

Prohibition of dangerous fun in Reshesh

In schools, during recess time, children are having fun. It is difficult to tell when such fun will prove fatal. All such activities will now be strictly prohibited, it will be mandatory for the school to immediately report any untoward incident in the school to the DEO. Otherwise action will be taken against the school.

Strict measures regarding security of students

Earlier in Ahmedabad there was an alarming incident of fatal attack on a student in a Seventh Day School. With such incidents, the safety of students has now become a serious matter. Therefore, the education department has given a clear message to the schools that if the school management fails to protect the students in such serious matters, they will have to suffer serious consequences.

Schools have to compulsorily follow these things

  1. Stop physical fun: Ban on pranks causing mental and physical injury among students in schools.
  2. A special look at the activities: The teachers have to monitor the activities of the students during the rest period in the school.
  3. Special guidance to students: Conducting regular guidance meetings for students regarding discipline, security by the principal in the school.
  4. Inform the system about the incident: Inform the system immediately if any untoward incident occurs in the school premises.
  5. Special examination of students: Confiscation of weapons from students upon entering school.
  6. ACTION AGAINST DISCIPLINARY STUDENTS: Strict action against students for assaults in or outside school
  7. Keeping a first aid kit: Compulsory keeping of first aid kit in school.
  8. Appointment of Special Team: Appointing special teachers at school level.
  9. Prohibition in hazardous areas: Access of students to hazardous areas related to school premises, labs or constructions is prohibited.
  10. Counseling of students: Calling and counseling the parents of students exhibiting suspicious or violent behavior.
  11. In the event of a violent or serious incident at school Immediately inform the police and education department without delay.
