9-year-old Vihan Chetaria of Jamnagar has set a new national record by climbing the 17,350 feet Friendship Peak in Himachal Pradesh. He became the youngest Indian mountaineer to scale the peak, breaking the previous record of 10 years and 2 months.

India’s youngest mountaineer
Only 9 years and 4 months Vihaan of Jamnagar has successfully climbed the 5,289 m (approx. 17,350 ft) high dangerous Friendship Peak in Kullu-Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, Vihan has become the youngest mountaineer of India to climb this peak. He has set a new record breaking the previous national record of 10 years and 2 months.

Minus degree temperatures and deadly challenges
Climbing Friendship Peak is no ordinary trekking, but an extremely dangerous mission. During this task Vihan faced severe difficulties. In which 9-year-old mountaineer Vihaan has introduced adventure by surviving the blood-chilling cold and low oxygen levels at an altitude of more than 17 thousand feet.
