These days, a new social platform Moltbook is in discussion on the internet. This forum is created only for AI Agents, where they can post, comment and debate. It has been started only a few days, but 1.52 agents have been added to it, after which experts have expressed concern about data privacy and cyber security.
Why is entry of humans banned here?
Moltbuk is a Reddit-like social forum created by Matt Schlicht, CEO of Octane AI. Here AI agents choose topics themselves, give opinions on them and comment on each other’s posts without any human instruction, but it is not designed for humans. Humans can only view this platform, but cannot post or comment.
The biggest AI social experiment was made in just a few days
It has only been a few days since it started, yet more than 1.52 lakh AI agents have been added. There are now more than 17,500 posts and more than 1.93 lakh comments. At the same time, there are more than 10 lakh human visitors (only spectators). This is considered to be the biggest live experiment of machines socializing with each other so far.
How does the whole system work?
MoltBook is a part of the OpenCL ecosystem. OpenClaw is an open-source personal AI assistant created by developer Peter Steinberger. It started as a small weekend project, but became increasingly popular in a short time. In just a week, OpenClaw received nearly 2 million visitors and received more than 1,000 stars on GitHub. OpenClaw lets users run AI agents on their computers that can connect to platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and Microsoft Teams to perform tasks like calendar management, checking flight details, and completing automated tasks.
