AI Impact Summit 2026 has started at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. During this time, tech leaders are openly discussing the impact of AI on jobs. He believes that major changes will be seen in the workforce in the next 3 to 5 years. Some traditional jobs may disappear, but AI will also create new roles and opportunities.

Need to adapt ourselves according to AI

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, founder of Naukri.com, gave a very perfect example. He reminded that even when computers were first introduced in banks, people thought that jobs would be lost. But just the opposite happened and their work became easier, the pace increased and no one lost their job.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani gave a special goal to the youth. “Stop worrying about what the government is doing or what the policy is. Just think about what you can do,” he said. Advising the youth, he said, “AI is inevitable and cannot be stopped. If you don’t learn to use AI, AI will use you. Give yourself a target to learn to run at least 3 new AI platforms in the next 3 months. The more you learn, the more secure your job will be.”

humans will always be needed

Satish Sitaramaiah, CEO of EdgeVerve (an Infosys company) believes that AI increases our capabilities manifold. He said that in the end there will always be a need for a person to take responsibility for any work. So jobs are not going anywhere, just the way work is changing.

At the same time, Sampark’s founder Vineet Nair shared an interesting statistic. He said that if 50% of old jobs will be affected because of AI, it will also create 50% of new jobs. All that is needed is that we identify which new skills are going to be in demand in our profession.

AI Impact Summit will run for five days

India AI Impact Summit 2026 is being organized at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. More than 300 companies from more than 30 countries will showcase their technologies in the summit. Many tech leaders from around the world are also participating in this event running from 16 to 20 February. Talking about some of the prominent personalities, many tech leaders including Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Google’s Sundar Pichai, OpenAI’s Sam Altman, Anthropic’s Demis Hassabis, Meta AI’s Alexander Wang are going to attend.

Bill Gates has reached India to participate in the event. He is currently in Amravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh and will soon leave for Delhi.
