YouTube has officially made its auto dubbing feature available to all users. Company’s Product Manager Chandralekha Motati said that this feature has been launched with the aim of making the content reach more people. This new Expressive Speech feature makes dubbing more natural and gives complete control over the language to both viewers and creators.

Often, when watching an AI dubbing video, it is not as interesting as the original, it seems dull, but this new expressive speech feature of YouTube will retain the emotions of the voice. In such a situation, if the creator is shouting or emotional in the video, then the same feeling will be felt in the dubbed language also. Currently this feature is available in 8 languages including Hindi.

Who will decide which video will be dubbed?
It has an AI based smart filter, which will automatically identify which types of videos are suitable for dubbing and which are not. Such as music videos, silent vlogs or content without dialogues will be excluded from auto dubbing. This will retain the original nature and creative feel of the video. Also, the content will not appear to be forcibly changed.
