According to gardening expert Gaurav Srivastava, the powerful solution prepared from home kitchen and garden ingredients strengthens the roots of roses and helps in blooming new buds. The mustard cake present in it is the main source of nitrogen, while onion peels are rich in potassium and sweet soda has anti-fungal properties.
lay the groundwork
Making compost starts with the correct measurement of water. First of all, take a clean plastic or glass container and add about 850ml water in it. Keep in mind that the water should not be too cold or hot, normal temperature water is best for the fermentation of manure.
Mustard cake nutrition
Now mix 150ml mustard cake solution in this water. Mustard cake is considered a superfood for plants as it contains abundant amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. It helps in restarting the stunted growth of the plant and making the stems thicker.
Use of onion peels
Add a handful of onion peels to the mixture. Onion peels are rich in potassium and iron, which are responsible for deepening the color of rose flowers and enlarging their size. These peels mix with the compost and gradually release their micronutrients into the water.
mix sweet soda
In the next step, add one-fourth teaspoon of sweet soda to the mixture. Sweet soda works as a powerful anti-fungal agent. It balances the pH level of the soil and helps in eliminating the problems of fungus and pests that often occur in rose plants.
Fermentation will happen in 24 hours
After mixing all the ingredients well, cover the container and leave it in a shady place for 24 hours. During this time all the ingredients mix together to form a powerful extract. Through the fermentation process, nutrients easily get absorbed into the roots of the plants.
How to make rose healthy
Dilution and method of use
The color of the solution will change after 24 hours. Now do not pour this thick solution directly into the plants. Before using it, mix one and a half to two times plain water in it. Now pour this light solution around the roots of the rose plant. Remember that before applying fertilizer, do light digging of the soil so that the nutrition can reach deep.
