What is love in your eyes?
In my view, love is a worship which you do not to get anything, but to surrender yourself. Just like we go to the temple to worship our deity. For me, love is like worship. I have a song in the film ‘Vodka Diary’ ‘Yeh Ishq Kya Hai’, which includes every shade of love. People liked this song very much.
When did you fall in love?
I considered love as worship and lived, wrote and presented it in the same way. The first condition of loving someone is that one should not want anything else from the person. The first love, the last time, happened in childhood, with my writing, when I got the first praise, first praise and first encouragement from my mother. From then till now I live in the same love every day.
What happens in your mind while writing Ishq?
The hunger of any creator for his art never diminishes. I love my writing. Whatever he has written till now has received a lot of love from readers and listeners. Now even my live show ‘Aloknama’ is being liked in the country and abroad. I want to write better every time.
How much demand is there for romantic compositions?
Those who work on the pattern of ‘demand and supply’ are doing something else rather than writing. When you write from your heart, you are able to write about everyone’s heart. I am lucky that those who read and listen to me read what I write and relate it to themselves. Therefore, at least the issue of ‘demand and supply’ does not come before me.
The biggest success of a good writer should be that he prepares his readers and listeners and not just prepares what is in demand. It is very difficult to be simple in life, I try to write whatever I write in simple language. If the efforts are successful then compliments and feedback are also received with the same ease.
It is true that the way you see, think and feel changes with age and experience. But this is not the case with love, I believe that what changes is not love at all?
