Sources say that earlier Nitin Naveen was being given a bungalow at 9 Sunehri Bagh Lane but he did not like it. Now he has been assigned a Type-S bungalow at 1 Motilal Nehru Marg. According to the rules of the Directorate of Estates, there is a provision for allotment of type- category government accommodation to the President of a national political party if he is not a Union Minister or a Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha MP.

Let us tell you that Type-8 government bungalow is considered to be a very high grade bungalow. This bungalow is usually allotted to Supreme Court judges, former Presidents, presidents of national political parties and people holding very senior constitutional positions. Type-8 bungalow has 8 big rooms. These have 5 to 6 bedrooms, a big drawing room, study room, modern kitchen and dining area. Apart from this, there are also separate arrangements for private garage, store room and staff quarters.

Type-8 bungalows are much safer than normal government houses. Hi-tech CCTV cameras are installed in the entire area. Security personnel are present everywhere.
