Apart from this, a compulsory internship of 12 months is also required. A Chinese degree will be valid in India only if the student has a license to practice there.
2. Language information
In China, MBBS studies are conducted in English only. Students should also ensure this before admission. But Mandarin language Learning may be necessary. The reason for this is that students are sent to the hospital for clinical rotation in the fourth year. It is necessary to know Mandarin to talk to the patients there. This is why in most universities it is necessary to pass at least one level of Chinese language.
3. MBBS should be taught in English only
There are many medical colleges in China where courses are taught in two languages. Some subjects will be taught in English, while some will be taught in Chinese. In such a situation, Indian students should take care that they take admission in such a university, where studies are conducted in English from beginning to end. If this is not done, the degree obtained in China will not be considered valid in India.
4. Clinical Exposure and Internship

Before taking admission, check whether the university where you are going to study has its own hospital and whether the number of patients there is adequate. In a university with its own hospital, exposure is good and students get to learn more things.
5. Passing FMGE Exam in India
Indian students returning from China after studying medicine are not allowed to practice directly in India. They first have to appear in the ‘Foreign Medical Graduate Examination’ (FMGE). Only after passing this examination one gets a license to practice in India. This is the reason why students should start preparing for this exam even before the end of the course, so that they can clear it with good marks.
